1. Introduction & Philosophy
Welcome to the privacy statement for Xstream Flex and our flagship guided website builder, EZsite. We understand that typical privacy policies are long, boring, and designed by corporate lawyers to hide facts. We hate that.
We built EZsite to serve creators, parents, small business owners, students, and solopreneurs. These are real people who need clear terms. We treat your data exactly how we would want our own data treated: with respect, extreme minimalism, and high transparency. We do not sell your personal data. We do not use intrusive tracking suites. We host your code where you decide, and we provide you with absolute ownership.
2. Information We Collect & Why
We limit the information we collect to the absolute bare minimum required to run the builder and provide your hosting updates.
To keep your account secure and unlock upgraded templates, we store your email address, license key, and authentication references. That is it.
When you use XMG, our built-in image manager, we temporarily or permanently store your images on our secure asset network so you can display them on your live website pages.
To launch your site instantly, we request voluntary authorization to push code directly to your GitHub repository. We never store your token on third-party servers permanently without encryption.
We track simple, aggregated indicators (e.g., how many people complete the EZsite wizard) to help Ian and the team figure out how to make the system better, simpler, and faster.
3. How We Use Your Data
We use your data purely to run and optimize the tool you have paid for or selected. There are no secondary commercial operations here. We use data to:
- Generate your requested pages (Home, About, Products, Blog, Contact, etc.) with the writing you input.
- Maintain connection with GitHub Pages to coordinate free hosting forever.
- Send critical transactional emails such as purchase receipts, license details, and feature announcements.
- Protect our platform and your code against malicious spam or DDOS vectors.
5. Third-Party Connections & Hosting Integration
Because EZsite launches directly onto GitHub Pages to provide you with free hosting forever, some communications occur between your computer, Xstream Flex engines, and GitHub API servers.
GitHub Privacy Integration Notes:
- When your code is published to GitHub Pages, GitHub handles the edge routing and serves your files. Your visitors' IP addresses are subject to GitHub’s global privacy controls.
- You own the code! Because the repository belongs to your personal account, you can pull your data out, delete the code, or move to any host in the world within seconds. We enforce no proprietary file format lock-ins.
6. Security Practices & Infrastructure
We may keep the software interface simple on the surface, but underneath, we build with elite modern protocols to keep your information locked.
- ✓ End-to-End Encryption: All data transferred to and from our wizard is protected via Transport Layer Security (HTTPS).
- ✓ No Payment Credentials Stored: We process upgrades and license key transactions through trusted, PCI-DSS certified payment pathways. We do not store credit cards in our system databases.
- ✓ Isolated Environments: Your raw HTML editor variables and text scripts run client-side whenever possible to restrict cross-site vector vulnerabilities.
7. Your Rights & absolute Control
Under GDPR, CCPA, and plain human-centered common sense, you are the absolute owner of your footprint. We guarantee you the right to:
Access & Export
Download your built code or view your account data anytime.
Correct
Update your email, photos, and live site settings instantly.
Erase
Delete your account or clear your assets from XMG databases completely.
A personal note on privacy and freedom
"I spent years watching creators build websites on massive, closed platform systems. What happened? Their prices rose, their code got trapped, and their visitors got tracked. When I started Xstream Flex, I made a promise to make our legal framework as clean as our HTML template designs. You build your website. You own your data. I am here to facilitate that, not exploit it."
